Hi there, I'm Sarah
I'm a Manchester family photographer who specialises in natural, candid family portraits. I love to capture those 'in-between' moments - the way your toddler grabs your hand as you walk together, the way your baby snuggles in to your neck as you carry her, the way your kid belly laughs as you tickle him.
Forget awkward, uncomfortable posing sessions - my shoots are completely relaxed and flexible. I won't be telling you where to look or how to fold your arms. All you need to do is have a great time with your family and I will capture the magic!

How it Works

contact
You've decided that I'm the right photographer for you? Great! You can either contact me via the contact form to ask any questions or go right ahead and book here. Once the deposit is paid your date is locked in!

BEFORE
To make sure you get the best out of your shoot I will send you some supporting info in advance. This will include a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family better and a prep guide which covers everything you need to know before your session. This is also the point at which we decide on location if you've opted for an outdoor shoot
03.
DURING
I will meet you at your house or chosen location. We'll start super relaxed just chatting and playing. As the shoot goes on and everyone feels more comfortable, I will start to give pointers or suggest games to play. It will feel like a fun family day out (or in) - with the addition of a photographer! Sessions usually last between 45 minutes and an hour

AFTER
Within 2-3 weeks of your session I will send you a link to view your personal gallery of 80+ photos. 5 digital downloads are included with your session fee so simply select your favourites and I will make them available to download direct from the site. If you want more than 5 images, upgrade packages are available to purchase either before or after your session
FAQ
How much does it cost?
The session fee is £95 and this includes your initial consultation and my time on the day. You can then purchase your photos after the session, with packages starting from £125. See the pricing page for more info
What should I wear?
You look great when you feel great, so please wear whatever makes you feel that way - whether that's jeans and t-shirt or a ball gown! When you book a session I will send you a detailed prep guide with everything you need to know before your shoot, including some do's and dont's for outfits - but the main thing is that you feel like yourself and comfortable in what you're wearing
Will you travel for a photoshoot?
Standard session fees include travel to locations within 30 minutes of the M33 postcode. I am more than happy to travel beyond this, but it may incur an additional fee. Please contact me for additional details
Do I need to be confident in front of the camera?
Not at all! Trust me, I absolutely hate having my picture taken so I know how you feel! I focus on capturing connection so I won't be asking you to pose or look at me and I do my utmost to make you feel relaxed and comfortable - I promise you'll be so engrossed engaging with your little ones that you'll forget I'm even there!
What if my children don't co-operate?
Firstly, don't worry! With a decade of teaching experience (including SEN) and 2 children of my own - I've seen it all!
My sessions are super flexible so if your children need a snack or a break at any time that's absolutely fine. The pre-shoot questionnaire will help me get to know your kiddos and I'll come prepared with loads of fun games and activities to keep them engaged. It will also give you some tips and tricks to help them feel their best on the day
The relaxed nature of the shoot means they can come and go as they please - flexibility is built in to the session time so we can work around little personalities and still get those beautiful family photos!
